SHIPPING POLICY

1. Delivery Time & Order Processing

Receiving time = Order Processing Time + Shipping Time

  • Order Processing Time: Most orders ship within 1 business day, but please allow up to 1–3 business days for processing.
  • Shipping Time: Depends on your shipping address and the shipping method selected at checkout.
  • Business Days: Monday–Friday, excluding weekends and U.S. public holidays.

Note: Choosing a faster shipping method does not shorten processing time.

 

2. Shipping Coverage & Methods

  • NookShell operates multiple warehouses worldwide and may ship from the nearest warehouse with available stock.
  • Standard shipping to most destinations is typically 7–14 business days (exact estimates are shown at checkout).
  • Within the United States, we primarily use USPS, UPS, and DHL as our carriers.
  • Shipping may not be available to certain U.S. islands and remote areas (for example, some parts of Hawaii and other outlying regions).
  • For remote areas, your parcel may be handed over to a local courier for final delivery; this will appear as a delivery event in the tracking history.

Important: All delivery timeframes are estimates and may be affected by weather, customs, and carrier delays.

 

3.Order Confirmation, Shipping Notification & Tracking

  • After your order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation email with your order number.
  • Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.
  • Tracking details are usually updated within 72 business hours after shipment.
  • In rare cases, your order may ship in multiple packages; however, you will still have one order number and an overall tracking reference.

Tip: Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not see our emails in your inbox.

 

4. Delivery, Signature & “No-Signature” Option

  • Your order may require a signature upon delivery. If no one is available, the courier may leave a delivery attempt notice, and you can arrange redelivery.
  • If you choose “No Signature Required” (authority to leave the package at your door or a designated location), once the tracking shows **“Delivered,” NookShell is no longer responsible for loss or damage to the package, except where required by law.
  • If the first delivery attempt fails, the driver may, at their discretion, deliver to a neighboring address.
  • Signature-required orders that cannot be delivered may be returned to our warehouse.

Important: Please choose the delivery option that best fits your security needs.

 

5. Exceptions & Problem Shipments

  • Returned after failed delivery:
    If a package is returned due to refusal, incorrect address, or repeated failed delivery attempts, the customer is responsible for reshipping costs.
  • Damaged on arrival:
    If your package arrives damaged, please take clear photos of the outer box and the items and contact us at support@nookshell.com as soon as possible.
    Unauthorized refusals may result in the customer bearing round-trip shipping charges.
  • No tracking update for 5+ days:
    If tracking shows no movement for more than 5 days, please contact NookShell Customer Service so we can help follow up with the carrier.
  • Lost or suspected lost package:
    For packages that are lost or suspected to be lost, NookShell may provide you with the carrier information and tracking number so you can coordinate directly with the shipping company.
    NookShell is not responsible for packages sent to freight forwarding addresses once they are marked as delivered to the forwarding provider.
  • Suspected package theft:
    In cases of suspected theft after delivery, we may ask you to file a police report with your local authorities.
    Until a report is submitted, we may not be able to process a refund or exchange.
    Once the report is provided, our Loss Prevention Team will review your claim.

Important: Always verify your shipping address and track your shipment regularly.

 

6. Expedited Shipping & Pre-Orders

  • Expedited shipping options may be available at checkout if you need your items sooner.
    Actual transit times may vary, and expedited shipping fees are non-refundable.
  • Choosing a faster shipping method does not shorten order processing time; orders still require 1–3 business days to process.
  • Pre-Orders:
    • When you place a pre-order, inventory is reserved for you, so pre-order items may not be cancelable.
    • Ship dates are estimates only and may be affected by production, international shipping, or customs.
    • If a pre-order cannot be fulfilled, we will issue a refund for the affected item(s).

Note: If you want in-stock items to ship first, we recommend placing a separate order.

 

7. Duties, Taxes & Customs (International Orders)

  • For international shipments, duties and taxes may apply and are determined by your local customs authority based on the type and value of the goods.
  • These fees are government-imposed and are not collected by NookShell.
  • In some cases, carriers may prepay duties and taxes for customs clearance and then collect the amount from the recipient.
  • The consignee authorizes NookShell and its service providers (e.g., customs brokers) to act on their behalf for import clearance when required.
  • Customers are responsible for:
    • All applicable duties and taxes;
    • Cooperating with customs clearance procedures;
    • Any additional costs due to refusal, abandonment, customs return, or undeliverable shipments.

Important: Please check your local customs rules and duty-free limits before placing an order.

 

8. Force Majeure & Carrier Delays

NookShell is not liable for delays in shipping or delivery caused by:

  • Force majeure events, such as extreme weather, natural disasters, war, strikes, or other events beyond our control; or
  • Carrier-related issues, including but not limited to customs clearance delays and operational disruptions.

Note: We always strive to ship your order on time, but some factors are outside of our control.
